The Captain

Travis doesn't make it a secret that he likes cereal. His favorite is Peanut Butter Captain Crunch. This past summer, while visiting the US, there was a t-shirt promotional offer connected with Captain Crunch. Send in "x" number of box tops (+ S&H) and you will receive a t-shirt. Travis also likes free t-shirts. Well, it didn't come in time, so his parents brought it when they came to visit. To his dismay (but Leoni's good fortune), he received a small, the wrong size. She decided it would make a perfect nightgown. She calls it her "Captain Vegetable" nightgown. Why you may ask? It might be connected to this video.

Taiko

When Leoni was about 1 1/2, we took her to a Japanese taiko performance, which she LOVED and often reenacts. Since another group was coming to perform, it was the perfect chance for a Daddy-Daughter Date. Doesn't she look grown-up?

Yum!

Yes, that is play BACON.
Like father, like son.

A day of love

Valentine's Day was pretty low-key at our house, but I received these beautiful roses.

And, Leoni received these lovely orchids. Thanks, Travis!

Food Festival

Who doesn't like a good festival, especially when it is centered around food. We had heard about it too late last year, so wanted to make sure to go this year. Hotel & stand alone restaurants throughout the city participate by offering food at low prices (5, 10, or 15QR), so we went to sample the last day that Travis' parents were visiting and ended up returning the following evening as well. We tasted some good food of various cultures and came home quite satisfied.

Leoni loved it.
